Les Rencontres, formed in 1994, is a network of elected officials in charge of culture from cities and regions throughout the Europe. The network has facilitated exchange on cultural and educational policies at a local, national and European level. It holds regular meetings to discuss and analyse their political responsibilities and examine cultural policy in Europe
