interactive Media Art Laboratory (iMAL)

A non-profit association based in Brussels, it is both an art centre producing exhibitions, lectures, concerts and performances and a media lab for artists to research, experiment, share and exchange ideas about new technology.

Founded by artists, media producers, interactive designers, software engineers and by NICC (a Belgian association of visual artists), its objective is to support artistic forms and creative practices using computer and network technologies.

iMAL is a network institution collaborating with Belgian and other European centres. It is supported by the Communauté française de Belgique (sector Digital Arts and General Directorate for Culture) and the Flemish authorities (Vlaamse overheid-Kunstendecreet).
