A centre for creative and intellectual exchange between representatives of various scientific and cultural fields in Europe. This exchange is an effective advocacy of pluralism and dialogue in public life. The programmes of Villa Decius also address managers and entrepreneurs working at the point of contact between different cultures. Several interdisciplinary projects provide a multifaceted outlook on the role of culture in the contemporary world, on issues of international cultural cooperation and on methods of cultural management and its financing. Villa Decius gives an important place to the role of the writer and translator in social dialogue, to European integration, the protection of cultural heritage, and the issues affecting ethnic minorities.
