Responsible for arts funding in Finland, this organisation awards project and artist-in-residence grants and subsidies and its structured and sub-divided according to the different art disciplines (national art councils) and regions (regional art councils). It integrates as well an interesting research unit that promotes and carries out research relevant to the formulation and implementation of cultural policy.
