A website run by European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture about the EYID 2008, it recognises that Europe's great cultural diversity represents a unique opportunity. Raising awareness about the importance and benefits of intercultural dialogue, it will include flagship projects on a European level throughout 2008, as well as national projects in each member state and a partner programme aimed at mobilising civil society. The participation of civil society in this event has been highly encouraged, thus the partner section is an essential feature of this website. The agenda is divided into different themes such as: culture and media; minorities; migration; religion; education/science; the workplace; multilingualism; and youth.
