The Year intends to address a wide spectrum of themes and policies such as: artistic education; cultural diversity; self-expression; science and technologies; creative industries; and sustainable development. It is led by the European Commission's Directorate General (DG) for Education and Culture in association with DG Entreprise and Industry, among other EU institutions and together with civil society.
