The annual Videonale Bonn festival is complemented by an exhibition of video art and a diverse programme of symposia, workshops, lectures, presentations by art students, cooperation with universities and specific educational programmes for visiting groups. Videonale Bonn also organises lectures on contemporary video art, with the aim of developing and promoting a sensitivity for other countries and other cultures through art.
