An artist-run residency and project space, located in the 16th century town centre of Hoorn, north of Amsterdam. Its main objective is to create a platform of exchange for international artists, and to offer the opportunity to contact and work with local and Dutch peers.
HMK focuses mainly on collaborations and group projects with a strong international component. The artists working in Hoorn are asked to produce new and context-specific work that reflect and often challenges local and international debates around contemporary art practice.
