A non-profit association that promotes film and audiovisual production as a tool for cultural and economic development in Latin America.
Since 2004, Grupo Chaski has been developing a model to use the power of cinema and the audiovisual media for cultural diversity, communication and local development: “The micro cinema network”. The micro cinemas allow people from disadvantaged areas in Peru, Bolivia and other countries to get in contact with audiovisual contents related to important aspects of their lifes.
Grupo Chaski is based in Peru and consists of a collective of filmmakers and other media arts professionals. It aims to take the lead in decentralised and independent audiovisual production using digital technologies.
