The first International Theatre Festival in Kosova was organised in November 2009 by the Kosovar National Theatre. It aimed to continue the theatre’s work in the field of international collaboration and its efforts to raise the profile of Kosovan theatres in Europe and around the world.
The first festival included theatrical shows based on the art of singing and on diverse musical forms that have served as a leit motiv for directors and other theatrical artists. The festival was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosova.
