Founded as the physical embodiment of the "Progetto Arte Manifesto", in which the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto proposed a new role for the artist to create interactions between all the spheres of human activity. It is divided into different offices or "uffizi": art, communications, economics, education, nourishment, politics, production, spirituality and work. Each office organises a range of events, projects and artists' residencies, among many other resources.
