A multilingual European online magazine with daily coverage of political, cultural and social trends from a uniquely pan-European perspective. Designed for readers across borders, its content is written and translated by a community of volunteers, then edited by a small team of professional journalists.
The network of local teams brings together young people from across the continent, with the aim to contribute to the construction of pan-European public opinion. Cafebabel.com provides a platform for participatory journalism. It gathers the views of the first generation living Europe on a day-by-day basis thanks to the Erasmus programme, the internet and an increasing level of mobility.
The website is a place for pan-European debate in real time. At a grassroots level, a network of local teams animates the e-community, promoting the European perspective through debates, conferences and other offline initiatives in their own cities.
