The magazine is one of the last independent historical reviews, which has not been shut down by the authorities. It is devoted to Belarusian history and cultural heritage, material culture and tradition. It often publishes on "unpopular", controversial historical problems (modern history, Belarusian-Russian historical relations etc.).
