Sferracavalli is an international theatre festival and represents a meeting point between Apulia and contemporary theatre of the countries from which most migrants come from:
Albania, Romania, Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal. Sferracavalli is set in Lizzano and every festival edition is dedicated to one of these countries. This year the theme country is Romania.
In August, from 16th to 20st, the companies will perform their plays in an old
abandoned cinema in the historical centre of Lizzano.
If you want to come to Sferracavalli and need accommodation in Lizzano, write us as soon as possible at
Let us know if you re coming by yourself or in a group, or if you re bringing your dog or cat with you (would you prefer the beach? countryside? Not sure?) so we will try to find the best solution for you.
