Fellowships for researchers who want to protect the environment

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has announced the start of its 2010 international climate protection fellowships. The foundation enables more than 2,000 young researchers from all over the world to spend time in Bonn, Germany, researching climate change.

The programme, which targets future leaders from developing countries, allows applicants to conduct a research-related project of their own choice during a one-year stay in Germany.

The Foundation maintains a network of more than 24,000 Humboldtians from all disciplines in over 130 countries worldwide, including 43 Nobel Prize winners. Applicants must have completed their first university degree (a bachelor's degree or its equivalent) less than 12 years ago.

No closing date for application. For further information, visit: http://www.humboldt-foundation.de/web/ICF.html
