A non-profit organisation based in Marseilles, it aims to support video art and multimedia creation and to encourage encounters between audiences, artists and works of art.
Born in 1988, Les Instants Vidéo is an annual nomadic international festival dedicated to electronic poetry (defined as all new innovative processes of audiovisual and multimedia writing). Other activities include international screenings, training, experimental workshops and conferences. The overarching aim is to let people share knowledge and experiences, and increase understanding of one another. Activities take place in a wide range of venues: cinemas, galleries, universities, prisons, theatres, schools, social centres, media libraries, etc. The organisation collaborates with partners in France and overseas.
