The Centre for Cultural Research was founded in 1969 as an independent, interdisciplinary research body for cultural policy, arts management and the media. ZfKf undertakes surveys into arts professions, comparative studies of arts policies, education and training programmes, surveys on the participation of the public in cultural life and applied anthropological research.
