An online portal, providing direct access to about 790,000 digital objects including films, photos, posters, drawings, sound material and text documents.
Initiated by ACE (Association des Cinémathèques Européennes) and the EDL Foundation, the EFG is a 3-year project (2008-2010) and will be linked to the Europeana portal. The EFG portal addresses a number of key issues for access to digital content, namely, technical and semantic interoperability, digitisation best practices, metadata standards and much more. It is funded by the European Commission under the eContent plus programme, as part of the i2010 policy.
