A non-profit organisation concerned with the study and promotion of local and regional cultural projects as well as international cultural cooperation. Its remit includes cultural and economic development, job creation, innovation, the natural environment, international cooperation, the use of new technologies, and cultural tourism. Multilateral's activities are correspondingly varied and numerous. Examples of these are the study and evaluation of territorial cultural projects; the training of cultural managers; the stimulation of cultural projects and artists and the provision of information about them; consultancy services (for projects, public bodies and the cultural industries); the improvement of cultural cooperation, using intergovernmental agencies and interdependent networks; the design of, and support for, innovative artistic and cultural programmes.
