
A US-based philanthropic foundation that supports institutions and individuals worldwide, funding a diverse range of projects that promote the understanding and conservation of the visual arts.
Through its strategic grants and programs, the foundation aims to strengthen art history as a global discipline, promote the interdisciplinary practice of conservation, increase access to museum and archival collections, and develop current and future leaders in the visual arts.
The foundation carries out its work in collaboration with the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute, and the Getty Conservation Institute.
