It’s Funding for the Arts Month at the Foundation Center. Throughout October this organization is hosting free events and seminars to help artists and nonprofit art organizations become better grantseekers and increase their funding.

Apart from the special offline events taking place in five different cities in the US, the Foundation Center will be offering free webinars. These include an audio and a visual presentation, and to attend you need a touch-tone telephone and Internet connection. It is delivered live and is interactive, allowing attendees to participate in polls and to ask questions. The webinar also lends itself to group viewing.

Note that you need to dial a US phone service, so the webinars are just totally free for those calling from the US. Yet, there is good news for those not willing to pay an expensive phone bill: many of these online events are being recorded, podcasted and published in the foundation’s website. And, together with other key funding resources specially displayed during this month, they are available at no cost.

For more information you can visit their website, check its events calendar and take the chance to have a look at its rich funding resources section, some of which I recommend you here:
