Transdisciplinary international platform for tourism research, focusing on the multidimensional relationships between tourism and culture.
Through academic research, collaborative projects, consultancy, conferences, publications, professional development and postgraduate programmes, CTCC aims at contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the complexities of tourism as a global phenomenon at different social and political scales. It is interested in assessing the potential of tourism to promote and support cultural diversity, stimulate intercultural dialogue and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Through its partners and conference series, the centre brings together some of the largest multidisciplinary networks of tourism scholars in the world.
