Foundations

European and international grant-making and operational foundations.

Foundations across Europe differ widely in their focus, aims, procedures and legal structures. Some are solely operational (they develop their own programmes and seek matching funds for their activities), while others offer grants to individuals, organisations or projects.

Some grant-making foundations have a primarily cultural raison d’être and others have broadly defined policies in diverse areas such as education and research.
