National, regional and transnational funding agencies and programmes.

National cultural agencies normally focus on national interests or promotion. When it comes to international work, they are usually supported by foreign ministries. Some transnational agencies do invest in bilateral and multilateral cooperation processes (e.g., the Asia–Europe Foundation and the Visegrad Fund).
