According to Swedish Radio, the presiding judge Tomas Norström has links with film and record companies, and their layers. There is a possibility that the conflict of interests will result in a mistrial.

The judge is a member of the Swedish Association for Copyright (SFU), Swedish Association for Industrial Legal Protection (SFIR). This brings of course a lot of questions, and Rune Lavin, Ombudsman of Justice in Sweden, said: "I would not have taken this case, if I had been in this situation".
