In a collection of essays by 30 authors from different cultural disciplines and perspectives, this report aims to raise the European public's awareness of Europe as a cultural entity as well as a political entity; it questions issues of European identity and the strategic role of culture within the EU. Published in four languages, it is jointly edited by the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA) and the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with the British Council, Pro Helvetia and the Stiftung für deutsch-polnische Zusammenarbeit (Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation).
