Arts and Artists in Europe: New Challenges

A concise paper on the main trends, issues and questions facing arts policy in Europe.

Prepared as a background document for the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) meeting in Athens in November 2007. It focuses attention, among other themes, on the current social status of artists, including their working conditions, mobility concerns and their rights, as well as the cultural diversity challenges in today's changing societies.
