Stimulates academic research in the field of applied comparative cultural policy. It is open to academics under the age of 35, as well as researchers and policy-makers.
This award was initiated in 2004 by the European Cultural Foundation and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and it is currently managed in partnership with ENCATC. The proposed research informs policy-making and benefits practitioners who are active in the field by offering possible policy recommendations on the cultural issues it analyses. Another long-term goal is the development of a network of young cultural policy scholars. Recently, the emphasis has been on research that analyses various aspects of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue in Europe.
