Editorial Policy of the LabforCulture Website

The materials and resources accepted for publication on the LabforCulture website should contain a specific European dimension (e.g. involve European partners and/or partners primarily located in Europe). Materials should also include a transnational European cultural cooperation dimension.

1. Specific criteria

1.1. Organisations or initiatives should demonstrate:

  • a transnational dimension in their activities, operating primarily within (or between) two or more countries
  • a networked mode of operation; local and/or national NGOs active in cross-border cooperation can be published on the site under the section MyLabforCulture, or as part of the Region in focus
  • a non-profit status, or operate primarily in the public sector (registered businesses demonstrating cross-border cooperation may be considered)
  • that they primarily serve artists, cultural operators, researchers and/or decision-makers in Europe.

1.2. Funding bodies should demonstrate:

  • support for European cultural cooperation, European cultural mobility, European cultural and artistic projects, initiatives, organisations and individuals.

1.3. Publications should:

  • address diverse issues around European cultural cooperation
  • fit into the scope and content of the Research in focus.

1.4. Projects/case studies should:

  • fulfill the methodology and criteria, identified in the Case studies section
  • principally take place or involve partners located within the broader Europe (48 countries)
  • bring artists and practitioners from different European countries together in order to develop work together and thus stimulate cross-cultural understanding.

1.5. Online resources (links) should:

  • demonstrate rich online content relevant to European cultural cooperation.

Please note that LabforCulture regrets that (unless at the Editorial Board’s discretion), it cannot publish information on: commercial organisations; consultancies; resources related entirely to broadcasting and/or mass-media; resources related to one European country only.

Individual profiles of artists, researchers, cultural practitioners and NGOs can be published under the section MyLabforCulture.
