EU policies in this field (translated into the i2010 framework) range from the regulation of entire industry sectors to the protection of each individual's privacy as well as the stimulation of the information society and the use of its benefits. The portal provides detailed information divided into thematic areas, including sections on: culture and society; education and training; and research and innovation.
