FeltUnited.com co-founded by Cynthia Reynolds (Norway) and Elis Vermeulen (The Netherlands). A collaborative not-for-profit project bringing felt artists from around the globe together with an annual themed virtual exhibit. We now (after 3 years) have more than 1400 artists in over 35 countries, many of whom desire to work together in more than just the virtual world. We would like to take the obvious next step and help our members find means to collaborate in the real world. Broadening our cutural knowledge by collaborating with artists who share in the same media but come from diverse cultural backgrounds.
This project initially came together in conjunction with the United Nations celebrating 2009 as the Year of Natural Fibres - we were recognized by the UN as an official event celebrating the year.
