„My Space" is conceived as an exhibition where the selected works have been inspired by the environment and the space surrounding them. Through images, the artists reflect their space, this can be either real, fantasy, or set up. Where in most of cases they are part of this space themselves. Each photo, series of photos or video, tells a little story or part of the life of an individual, group of people, city, or a selected location. The project has been conceived in different stages as a game of transfer of spaces and locations. It is not casual that the exhibition of the Albanian artists is first displayed at the Gallery of the Academy of Arts in Tirana and then transferred to another dimension at the Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin. Parallel to the exhibition in Tirana, the works of German artists are displayed at the Gallery Zeta, later to be transferred to the other dimension at the Studiogalerie at the Haus am Lützowplatz. In the mean time, Katharina Gaenssler photographs the exhibition at the Gallery of the Academy of Arts and then transfers it at the Gallery „18m" in Berlin. Another exhibition will be hosted at the premises of Deutsche Welle in Berlin, where both Albanian and German artists will reveal photo and video works related to the urban and architectural surroundings in Albania.

Opening 1: Tuesday, July 22nd, at 7:00 p.m, at Gallery of Art Academy
Opening 2: Friday, July 25th, at 7:00 p.m, at ZETA Gallery

Both exhibitions are part of the »European Month of Photography« and will be transferred to Berlin , Haus am Lützowplatz, in November 20008.
