From 31 May to 31 July 2010 Subscriptions are open for neon> video selection.
Neon has been focusing on the European video production for some years. Thanks
to programs as Playlist and Focus on Video Artists, curators, critics and artists have
been invited to show their work to a wider audience in a direct and participate attitude,
thus enriching the video archive of neon.
neon> video selection is not a competition but a survey made up of collaborations
and exchanges of knowledge. neon thus seeks to open its space to new experiences
related to the use of video, creating an open platform through which to reflect
on current expressions.
neon> video selection is a project featured with 91mQ (Berlin).
From May 31st to July 31st.
Videos can be made with all the techniques of digital video production. Particular
interest will be addressed to works concerning: video art, video performance, video
archive, anthropological documentary, experimental animation, stop motion.
Works must be sent in triple copy and in DVD format at:

The videos must be accompanied by the following documents:
synopsis
data sheet,
curriculum vitae,
a CD with 3 or more work stills (jpg/300 dpi)
self-certification where the author claims to give the videos to the non-profit association

a copy of the payment of 20,00 euros for administrative fees (the payment should
be addressed to the Cultural neon>campobase, via Zanardi 2/5 40131 Bologna
account number C/C 34465, Bank of Bologna)

All participating works will be put in the Neon archive to be consulted. Copies of
works submitted for the selection will not be returned.
The deadline is on the 31st of July, 2010.
The six videos selected by the jury will be on display at neon>campobase on November
2010, before moving to the art project space in Berlin 91 mQ.
Among the works received, the jury will select some videos which will be posted
on 2Video http://undo.net/2video, and will be promoted through the newsletter of
the network UnDo.Net
All the videos that pass the preselection will be advertised through the website and
presented at the Symposium of Playlist, a platform for the diffusion and the reflection
on the use of video that will house all the curators and critics who attended the
last two years Playlist
