
A New MA Programme in Cultural Management begins in Spring 2009
The MA Programme in Cultural Management at Istanbul Bilgi University is geared towards candidates who want a professional career in the cultural industry as well as those who aim to further their academic studies in this new field.
The Programme offers a multi-disciplinary curriculum which
-Critically analyses the structure and dynamics of the cultural industry of Turkey and the world
-Evaluates the creation and transformation of cultural policies from a social, economic and political perspective
-Develops an analytical approach to culture, stemming from its role in urban development and EU relations
-Analyses the entrepreneurship and development dimension of the establishment and operation of creative economies
-Approaches all areas of the cultural sector from music to cinema, visual arts and festivals, with their operation, marketing and communication components
-Proposes new and creative solutions to real cultural projects, whether public, private, national or local
-Is carried out in close collaboration with leading institutions from the cultural sector.
