“European Culture” isn’t understood as a specific identity, but as encompassing all the cultural expressions manifested in Europe and in relation to other continents. This is an international and multidisciplinary conference that fosters the dialogue between experienced teachers and young researchers, therefore accepting papers from Ph.D. students.
The XIth Conference “European Culture” is organized by the Institut Carlemany d’Estudis Europeus of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), which is a young private university. The Institut Carlemany d’Estudis Europeus was created in 2000 out of the need to establish an area dedicated to teaching, studies, research and dialogue about Europe in the University.
The Conference “European Culture” is financially supported by the European Commission through the Jean Monnet Programme of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture. The conference is organized in collaboration with the “European Culture” Jean Monnet Chair ad personam held by Enrique Banús.
