Instituto Cervantes' mission is to promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish as a second language and to contribute to the advancement of the Spanish, Hispanic and Latin American cultures throughout the world. It organizes its own cultural events and educational activities. It sponsors or co-sponsors certain functions or events organized by accredited or associate centres abroad.
