A Kyiv-based organisation established by George Soros in 1993 as part of the international SCCA network, the Centre has operated since 1999 as an independent body to promote development of Ukrainian contemporary art. Serves as a meeting point for international artists and curators in Ukraine. Provides exhibition opportunities for Ukrainian and international contemporary artists. Is a member of the International Contemporary Art Network Association (ICAN) registered in the Netherlands. Of interest to artists, curators, scholars, and art critics.
