Created at the time when Porto became European Capital of Culture in 2001. Provides space in central Porto for exhibitions, concerts, rehearsals, performing arts, studios, training workshops, photography, design services and debates. Also manages a bar that is a meeting point for intellectuals and artists. Broadcasts a radio programme with Minho University and works in partnership with Morgen (an artist-run organisation in Rotterdam), New Art (contemporary art fair in Barcelona) and Trans-Habitos (Hannover).
