Promotes innovation and competitiveness in Europe through excellence in ICT research and development; defines and implements a regulatory environment; and fosters the growth of content industries drawing on Europe’s cultural diversity. It is in charge of the Audiovisual and Media Policy, including the EU Media Programme.
