parkinprogress

(Mai 2010 - 2013)

WHAT IS THE MAIN IDEA OF THE PROJECT AND WHO IS THE TARGET GROUP?

parkinprogress moves around six different places in six different countries: Saint-Cloud (France); Nottingham (United Kingdom); Riga (Latvia); Pannonhalma (Hungary); Mons (Belgium); Pilsen (Czech Republic). At every stop on this itinerary, artists and young professionals from the creative world take over a park or a woody urban zone to create a strolling promenade for the public.

parkinprogress is the first step of a far-reaching project, which aims to link the main European countries’ big cities in order to create a vast network of artists and cultural actors who are able to work together on transdiciplinary projects at a European scale.

WHAT DOES THE PROJECT INCLUDE?

This nomadic project is built up from three stages:

  • an itinerant short residency programme, gathering together the laureates in a single place, to set up the parkinprogress event;
  • workshops to share experiences;
  • large-scale communication actions to reach a vast public.

HOW IS THE PROJECT FINANCED?

This project has been funded with the support of the European Commission.
