FECC is dedicated to the promotion of 'citizens' carnivals' and the preservation of carnival heritage. Membership is open to public bodies (municipalities, national art commissions, etc.), professional NGOs and amateur organisations. FECC holds an annual convention and confers four worldwide awards.
