Association Internationale des Critiques d'Art ( AICA)

International Association of Art Critics

An international NGO representing art critics who are professionally active in all forms of media, in teaching, and in curation. The association promotes the understanding and critical interpretation of the visual arts. It is organised into National Sections (involving around 70 countries) and an Open Section. It was founded in 1948-9 under the patronage of UNESCO.
