Stiftungen

Stiftungen in ganz Europa unterscheiden sich in ihren Zielen, Abläufen und rechtlichen Strukturen erheblich voneinander. Einige sind rein operativ (d.h. sie entwickeln ihre eigenen Programme und bemühen sich um eine passende Finanzierung für ihre Aktivitäten), während fördernde Stiftungen Subventionen gewähren und Einzelpersonen, Organisationen oder Projekte unterstützen.

Einige fördernde Stiftungen haben eine primär kulturelle Existenzberechtigung (Finanzierung von Mobilität, künstlerischer Austausch, usw.). Andere wiederum haben allgemeinere, breiter definierte Ziele und Subventionsrichtlinien in unterschiedlichen Bereichen wie Ausbildung und Forschung.
